heavy uxo-ied containers
Heavy explosion-resistant transport containers (bomb trailers, bomb trolleys) are used for safe isolation and transport for disposal of large terrorist bombs, improvised explosive devices (IED), unexploded ordnance (UXO) or duds and other types of dangerous explosive articles, with explosive equivalent ranging between 5 – 10 kg TNT. All the offered heavy containers were experimentally tested to resist not only detonation of bare explosive charges but also of large caliber (100 – 152 mm) artillery projectiles with extensive fragmentation effects. All the containers were also tested to resist multiple explosions for repeated use
The containers can be mounted on trailers or directly on the platforms of lightweight trucks. In case of accidental explosion of transported explosive materials, the containers are capable of protecting the vehicle drivers and surrounding people and property against deadly explosive effects.
They can be used by police or military EOD/IEDD specialists in inhabited areas, on regular roads and in a flat stable terrain as well as in more difficult terrain (battle fields and training ranges contaminated with UXO) as it was experimentally proven by field vehicle tests by NATO military authorities.
