Special-purpose detonation chambers are designed for a specific manufacturing program or according to a customer´s specific request. ALFA series of industrial detonation chambers was developed specifically for manufacture of artificial diamonds, but it can also be used for other applications such as quality testing of commercial explosives or for scientific applications.
Unlike the other industrial detonation chambers, ALFA chambers do not use working tables and the explosive charge in hanged-up in the geometrical centre of the chamber. The chambers however use programmed control panel and hydraulic units for their operation as the other industrial detonation chambers.
The ALFA chambers are usually incorporated in a manufacturing facility where separation of the artificial diamonds from the soot after explosion is carried out.
